Biographie

Dr Rafflenbeul a effectué ses études à la Faculté de Chirurgie Dentaire de Strasbourg, puis y a intégré le programme de spécialisation en Orthopédie Dento-Faciale, suite à sa réussite du Concours national de l’Internat en Odontologie. A l’issue de 3 années de formation à temps plein, il a obtenu son Diplôme d’Etat de Docteur en Chirurgie Dentaire ainsi que le Diplôme d’Etudes Spécialisées d’Orthopédie Dento-Faciale. En 2017, il a débuté un exercice en cabinet privé en France et en Suisse, en parallèle de ses fonctions d’Assistant Hospitalo-Universitaire de 2018 à 2022. Il poursuit son implication dans l’enseignement universitaire à travers un poste de chargé d’enseignement. Dr Rafflenbeul est membre de l’European Orthodontic Society, l’American Association of Orthodontists, la World Federation of Orthodontists et la Société Française d’Orthopédie Dento-Faciale. Il a eu l’opportunité de reviewer des articles pour l’American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics et l’European Journal of Orthodontics.

Ses sujets d’intérêt en orthodontie sont :

  • Les dents incluses
  • L’imagerie tridimensionnelle
  • La contention et la stabilité orthodontique.

 

Biography

Dr. Rafflenbeul studied at the Faculty of Dental Surgery in Strasbourg. He entered there the post-doctoral programme in Dentofacial Orthopedics, after succeeding at the “Concours national de l’Internat en Odontologie”. He earned from the University of Strasbourg his D.D.S. degree and Master’s in Dentofacial Orthopedics after a 3-year full-time post-doctoral training. In 2017, he started working in private practice in France and Switzerland, concurrently to his position as assistant at the Department of Dentofacial Orthopedics (2018-2022). He pursues nowadays his involvement in postgraduate teaching through his lecturer position. Dr. Rafflenbeul is a member of the European Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists and the Société Française d’Orthopédie Dento-Faciale. He had the opportunity to review articles for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and the European Journal of Orthodontics.

His main interests in orthodontics are:

  • Impacted teeth
  • 3D imaging
  • Orthodontic retention and stability.
